This recipe is easy to prepare and it packs a lot of flavor – a definite crowd pleaser! The roast can be prepared ahead of time. Once the sauce is added, reheat the pulled pork before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Pork Shoulder or Picnic Roast
  • Marinade Recipe
  • Oregon Hill Grillin’ & Dippin Sauce, Original or Spicy
Use ½ bottle per pound of pork*
  • Kaiser Rolls, warmed

MARINADE: Use one 12 oz. bottle of Italian Dressing. Pour dressing into a spout container. Add ½ teaspoon of Cumin plus one teaspoon of each: Ground Oregano, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Pepper, Lawry’s Season Salt, Italian Seasoning. Whisk until well blended.

PREPARE THE ROAST: Poke holes or make small slits into the meat. Slowly pour and rub marinade over the roast and into the openings using all the mixture. Cover the roast. Refrigerate overnight.

ROAST: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Do not drain marinade. Baste the meat. Cover the roast. Bake for approximately 3 hours or until tender (it should pull or fall apart easily). Once cooled, remove the pork roast from the marinade. Cut the meat into chunks. Using two forks pull the meat apart. Continue until all meat is shredded.

Pour Grillin’ & Dippin’ Sauce over the pulled pork, blending the sauce well into the meat. Serve hot on warmed Kaiser Rolls. Refrigerate remaining pulled pork.

*Adjust suggested amount of sauce to your taste. Pulled Pork should be saucy but not dripping.
